Al-Mustapha Rejects Claim About Abacha’s Death on Top of Woman
Former Chief Security Officer to late Head of State General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, has rejected claims that Abacha died while in the company of a woman, describing the account as false and fabricated.
Al-Mustapha was responding to allegations reportedly made by former Department of State Services operative Dennis Amachree in his book, where he claimed that Abacha died on top of a woman.
Speaking to journalists in Kaduna, Al-Mustapha disputed the account and said he has CCTV footage documenting Abacha’s final moments.
“The boy was asked to write the lies by others. I have all the CCTV footages of what happened in my custody, so what he said are not true,” Al-Mustapha said.
He urged the public to disregard the claim, arguing that it is unfair to make unverified statements about a deceased person who can no longer respond to them.
“Just ignore his lies. It’s bad to say such things on someone that is dead,” he added.
