US-Based Nigerian Cancels Wedding Over Fiancée’s TikTok Comment
A Nigerian man living in the United States has reportedly ended his relationship and called off his planned December wedding after seeing a comment his fiancée allegedly made online about the trending Chike and Frank Edoho controversy.
According to reports circulating on social media, the couple had been preparing for marriage, with claims that the man was financially supporting the woman, her mother, and even assisting her business.
The situation allegedly changed after the woman commented under a post praising Chike, reportedly saying she would also “Chike” her own partner if given the opportunity.
Reports claim her fiancé later saw the comment on TikTok and blocked her without further explanation.
The incident drew more attention because the woman was said to already be involved in managing some of the man’s affairs in Nigeria, including overseeing properties and collecting rent from tenants who viewed her as his future wife.
The story has triggered mixed reactions online, with many people urging others to be more careful about comments and jokes shared on social media, noting that online posts can sometimes have unexpected consequences.
