Israeli Soldier Filmed Placing Cigarette in Virgin Mary Statue’s Mouth
A video circulating online shows an Israeli soldier placing a cigarette in the mouth of a statue of the Virgin Mary in southern Lebanon while smoking another cigarette himself.
According to Israel’s public broadcaster KAN, the military confirmed that the incident is currently “under review.”
The footage has sparked reactions online and comes amid reports of alleged attacks and incidents involving Christian religious sites and symbols connected to Israeli military operations in Jerusalem and Gaza.
