Man Exhumes Sister’s Body to Prove Death in Shocking Bank Dispute
A bizarre incident has been reported in India, where a man reportedly exhumed his sister’s body and took it to a bank in an attempt to prove that she was dead.
The man, said to be over 50 years old and from Odisha State, dug up his sister’s remains after the bank allegedly refused to acknowledge her death despite prior notification.
According to reports, he had tried to withdraw about 20,000 rupees (roughly $200) from her account but was unable to do so due to the bank’s refusal to process the request.
Frustrated by the situation, he reportedly carried out the shocking act to provide physical proof. He later told police that the bank’s insistence led him to take such extreme measures.
Authorities say the woman had died in January this year, and the case has since drawn attention for its unusual and disturbing nature.
