Northern Israel Will Remain Unsafe if Lebanon Is Attacked – Hezbollah
Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem has warned that areas in northern Israel will continue to face threats as long as Israeli military operations target Lebanese communities and villages.
According to a statement released by Hezbollah, Qassem said the group would not accept efforts to link its military presence or redeployment to broader political arrangements, including ceasefire negotiations or Israel’s withdrawal from disputed areas.
He stressed that Hezbollah’s actions are tied to what the group sees as the defense of Lebanese territory and its people.
“We fight for our land and our people rooted in our obedience to our Lord – so that we shall not be slaves to anyone, and so that our generations may live their lives independently in their homeland alongside their fellow countrymen,” Qassem said in the statement.
His remarks come amid continued tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border and ongoing concerns about a wider regional escalation.
