Tension broke out at a wedding venue after an event planner allegedly stopped a bride from heading to her church wedding because part of the service fee had not been paid.

A video that has since gone viral on X, shared by user @Teniola, captured the bride fully dressed in her wedding gown and already seated in a car, prepared to leave for the church. However, the event planner stood in her way, insisting that the outstanding balance must be settled before the bride could leave the venue.

In the clip, several guests could be heard pleading with the planner to allow the bride attend the church ceremony first and return afterward to complete the payment.

“Please let her go to the church and come back to pay. Allow her,” some guests appealed.

The event planner, however, refused to budge, maintaining that she could not release the bride since her services had not been fully paid for.

“She’s not going anywhere. My canopy, tent, decorations and wedding outfits are here — she is not leaving,” she reportedly said.

The confrontation caused visible confusion and tension at the venue, with guests divided and arguments breaking out over who was responsible for the situation.

The incident has also sparked mixed reactions online. While some users questioned why wedding services were provided without complete payment, others condemned the entire episode, with one commenter remarking, “Is marriage by force? This is shameful.”
