Yusuf Buhari, son of former President Muhammadu Buhari, has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Daura/Sandamu/Mai’adua Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 elections.
He was adopted by consensus at a stakeholders’ meeting held in Katsina on April 28, with the decision announced by the committee chairman, Ahmed Dangiwa.
APC Chairman in Mai’adua Local Government Area, Mannir Musa, urged party members to accept the outcome and work together for unity. He also appealed to Governor Dikko Radda to support aspirants who were not selected, while encouraging consensus candidates to deliver effective representation if elected.
Other candidates who secured tickets through consensus include Nasir Yahaya for the Daura senatorial race and Mustapha Musa for the Mai’adua seat in the Katsina State House of Assembly.
Yusuf Buhari expressed appreciation to party members for their support and pledged to provide quality representation if elected.
