Fulham, Leverkusen Eye Nigerian Defender Nwaiwu After Strong Performances
Premier League side Fulham are reportedly monitoring Nigerian defender Chibuike Nwaiwu following his standout performances for Turkish club Trabzonspor.
According to reports, the centre-back has attracted interest after quickly establishing himself as a key figure since joining Trabzonspor from Austrian side Wolfsberger AC in January.
Sources indicate that Fulham scouts have been keeping close tabs on the player, while Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen are also said to be interested in securing his services.
Nwaiwu’s versatility in defense is believed to be a major factor drawing attention from top European clubs.
So far, he has contributed three goals and one assist in 13 league appearances for Trabzonspor, further boosting his profile as a rising talent.
