Pantami Vows Legal Battle Against APC Consensus, Says He’s Ready to Lose “Life”
Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, has strongly opposed the All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus arrangement for the Gombe governorship ticket, pledging to challenge it.
Speaking in an interview with BBC Hausa, Pantami expressed confidence that he would secure the party’s ticket if a direct primary election is conducted.
He warned that he would resist what he described as injustice within the party, emphasizing his determination to pursue the matter through legal means.
“I will challenge this injustice of Gombe APC governorship consensus… If it’s direct primary, everybody knows we will win,” he said.
Pantami added that he is prepared to take the fight to court, insisting that due process must be followed in selecting candidates.
